Re AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE PAN AFRICAN FACULTY AND STAFF
ASSOCIATION – Tuesday, 15 October,
12 noon, ORH LECTURE ROOM
Some of you have received a copy of the enclosed flier by now, while
others may be seeing it for the first time. Many of you have heard the
many rumors circulating about DPAS, its Chair and Faculty. With the distribution
of this flier, the situation has reached a crisis stage, and it is now
time for the entire Pan African Community to discuss, and to speak on this
matter. It is necessary for our community to speak on this matter, in my
opinion, for the following reasons:
1) There has been to much misinformation and disinformation,
which has left a trail of confusion, distortion and fabrication;
2) This has had a deleterious impact on both faculty and students;
3) This problem has gone outside of our community, and is being discussed
in other circles;
4) It has become an impediment to our struggle on this campus for legitimate
change;
5) The collective image and reputation of our community is at stake;
6) The matter is no longer the sole concern of DPAS.
This issue will be the sole item on the agenda.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL OF YOU COME!
